DUmmies Demoralized Over Obamacare

The townhall protests are working...and working beautifully. It looks like the Obamites are going to have to gut most of their beloved Obamacare to nothing but a meaningless feel-good bill in order to allow it to pass. This increasingly likely scenario is what is now demoralizing the DUmmies as you can see in this THREAD, "I've decided we should let the Republicans kill off the damn thing." Yes, the vox populi has spoken despite the Obamaton smears of them as professional Brooks Brothers Astroturf protesters. Anybody with half a brain know this is not true and the politicians are scared of what would happen if they force out a "public option" health care plan. The townhall protesters have the liberals on the run but they should not let up until Obamacare is killed or ends up completely meaningless as our Chinese bankers want it to be. So let us now watch the deeply demoralized DUmmies in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, who now thinks Obamacare will end up as nothing more than a feel-good resolution, is in the [barackets]:

I've decided we should let the Republicans kill off the damn thing

[Close your eyes, lean back, and allow the wascally Weepublican to apply the chloroform rag to your nose.]

It isn't going to solve anything. They have already watered it down so bad the only one's to win is - sure enough - the insurance companies, Hospital corps and big Pharm. I am convinced it MAY make things worse.

[May we now fit you out with a Brooks Brothers suit so you can join our protests?]

Kucinich, our biggest advocate on public options, stopped just short of calling this a pile of shit. What this has morphed into bears no resemblance at all to how it was sold to us. It seems to me we are about to end up with the "Patriot Act" of medical care. Huge money thrown around that doesn't solve one damn thing. Kill it.

[Okey dokey. Will do. And now on to the other DUmmies...]

how about we fight for single-payer instead.

[That is what Obama told us he was REALLY for...but don't tell Linda Douglass.]

Anything less then single payer is a waste of time and effort

[In case anybody hasn't heard, single payer really means government run health care.]

I agree that a crap bill should not be passed.

[How about Crap & Trade?]

I'm all for baby steps in the right direction. I just don't see it here. I expected some compromise but I have yet to see what this thing actually solves and it looks to me like it creates a few problems.

["Baby Steps" by Dr. Leo Marvin. $29.95.]

no public option IS nothing

[You are therefore somewhere between nil and none.]

If anybody should have a mandate, it should be Obama, and not the uninsured. Didn't he have a plan that we essentially supported? And isn't that plan much different than what's on the table?

[Plan? What Plan? I don't need no stinkin' Plans!]

if it's going to FORCE me to buy "health" insurance, I too want it to die

[Your Brooks Brothers suit is in the mail.]

Sure, let's hand the teabaggers victory and enourage them even more. Great idea

[Yup! It sure is a great idea.]

Obama & Co. have let the debate be redefined from health care reform to health insurance reform, and as a result, will get neither. Brilliant strategy on the part of the nominal Democrats running the party (into the ground).

[And here I thought The One was infallible.]

Obama should give the Republicans what they want, and start over.

[Yes, start over right after the 2010 elections. Hee! Hee!]

Could you help me understand the legislation? You see, I haven't been able to track down a copy of the bill that was hammered out between the House and Senate conference committee, so I really don't have any idea of what the final legislation might contain.

[You mean read a bill before it is voted on? What a bizarre concept.]

Kill it and try again after 2010. What they've got now is worse than nothing.

[Yes, after 2010. Hee! Hee!]

No bill better than bad bill.

[Monica isn't so sure. She would prefer bad bill to no bill.]

is everyone finally starting to get it? we were NEVER.GOING.TO.GET.WHAT.WE.WANTED

[GIVE.UP.NOW!]

I hope Obama is making alternate plans starting in 2012. cause he sure ain't going to be re-elected on the basis of this mess.
He has needed to be like LBJ, pressuring legislators to pass what he wants, the way Johnson did for Medicare. Instead, he's letting that traitor Rahm Emanuel cause him to fail.

[I read "Master of the Senate" by Robert Caro and LBJ was the MASTER at getting bills passed. Yes, I know LBJ and Obama is NO LBJ. Not with just a little over a hundred days worth of Senate experience.]

Health care doesn't have to be completely reformed in one shot. I would like to do as much as possible right now but there's no reason we can't get another shot at this in a few years.

[In the Year 2525, if Man is still alive.]

As usual, the DUmmies jump the gun.

The amount of political capital expended on Obamacare is not going to come back to Pelosi and Reid et al.

They've got uncooperative Dem members who will gladly see this mess in it's early and well-deserved grave, and I have a notion that a lot of pols who have heard the roar at their Townhall meetings would just as soon cut their losses.

But I won't be happy until B-HO officially gives it up. No sop. No "feelgood". No foot-in-the-door that can be 'modified' later.

Dead. Obamacare DOA. And cremated.

I have my doubts Anon 1:50

I doubt the community organizer is going to let go of his pet project. In my opinion there are a couple of good ideas in the package. Unfortunately it is a total takeover by the Federal government.

The more I see the Dems in action, the more astounded I am by their outright barefaced socialist policies. The mask has come off. No pretense whatsoever.

Sham, I believe we will end up with some form of sweeping and expensive law/program out of it, but one that doesn't make ANYONE happy. It will involve a lot of incidental spending in particular states and districts though. In other words, yet another expensive, dangerous, and unloved product of our Congressional, ummm, 'Process.'

What's your brilliant alternative, dumbass? Bigger profits? Bigger bonuses? More off-shore tax breaks?

You dumbshits don't have one. Your brilliant alternative is getting it up the ass with an even bigger and better baseball bat...all lubed up. You love it. The bigger the better. Bring out the tar.

Dumbshit douche bags.

Isn't it interesting that when I, troglaman, beg for your alternative, I'm met with silence...or some bullshit response like "Well if you weren't such a potty-mouth..." blah blah blah.

Since 2002, health care premiums have gone up 87%.

Since 2002, health care profits have gone up over 400%.

70% of us that have claimed bankruptcy because of medical expenses have had health care insurance.

Over 14,000 PER DAY are losing their coverage.

Cuba's infant mortality rate is better than ours.

This is what you defend. This is what you want. This is what you stand for. I'm sure you're oh so proud.

Is it entirely inconceivable that I, troglaman, might disagree?

Despite what you may believe, there's nothing being offered out there that would prevent you dumbshits from sucking corporate dick. You can continue to take it deep. You don't believe in Medicare? Then don't make a claim. It's that easy. You don't believe in L&I? Then don't make a claim. You don't believe in Social Security? Then don't cash the checks. You're already free to do whatever you want to screw yourselves from here til Tuesday.

But that's not all you want. You want all of us to get fucked from every direction and in every orifice just like you. You want all of us to bend over happily and take the big bad corporate bone up the chocolate machine just like you dumbshits. You actually think you're doing everyone a favor.

Fuck you. You're not. And if it isn't fucking obvious, then you're worthless. In fact, you're worse than worthless. You're a corporate boner (mixed metaphor - might be difficult).

I, troglaman, know you get this. You're conservatives. True conservatives know when they're getting reamed...or maybe not.

Not my problem. No one's taking away your choice to get ass-fucked. Got that? No one. Maybe one of you should try to convince me otherwise. You can't. Just because you love the corporate dick down your throat doesn't mean I do...all you Mr. Freedom-Lovers.

You've declared yourselves. Defend it, pussies. You can't. And you know it.

Yeah, troggy, I heard you can clear a room just through your presense. You may call it silence, I call it being ignored. lol lol lol
It must suck to realize no one cares what you say. I can just see you hunched over your keyboard just typing away....long passages...mumbling to yourself (ooh, I'll just wow those repubs with my smarts)....your Mom's banging at the basement door, begging you to turn out the light so they can get some sleep...finally you finish....you click that "publish your comment" button....and then nothing....no response. You stare at the screen...you're thinking to yourself, someone will respond soon, they'll adknowledge my brilliance any time now....still nothing....you stare at the screen, waiting, just waiting....and nothing. Like I said, it must suck being you.

"...your Mom's banging at the basement door, begging you to turn out the light so they can get some sleep..." susie

Thanks for the succinct explanation of the RepubliDUm brilliant alternative position.

As to my mom, she hates the mirrored air duct I built that shines a thousand watt street light into her upstairs bedroom.

susie's brilliant narrative. What's interesting is she's talking about susie. Not the brave and magnificent troglaman. She's just making shit up, like always.

By the way, dumbshit. What do you pay for health insurance? Ready for next year's increase in premiums jammed up your willing ass? I'll bet you are. And I'd bet you're looking forward to it. Tell me I'm wrong. Dare you.

It's that simple? You're wrong. I never thought it would be that easy to get it over on ya. Now, can I double dog dare you to just off the nearest bridge?
