DUmmie Complains To Macy's Manager About Running Fox News

Last week we SAW how the DUmmies were getting all excited about a remote control device that could shut off TV sets that were running Fox News. But what happens when the DUmmie leaves the room? Most likely the TV will revert to Fox News since it is by far the most popular cable news channel out there. Therefore, the DUmmies have to work even harder to keep folks from watching Fox News. One way is what a certain DUmmie did as chronicled in his THREAD, "I just complained to a Macy's manager about having Fox News on their TVs." This censorship matter is of such importance to the DUmmies that it currently sits at the very top of their "Greatest" page. So let us now watch the DUmmies get obsessed that people out there are watching Fox News in Bolshevik Red while the commentary of your humble correspondent, noting that Macy's will probably now get requests to turn the channel BACK to Fox news is in the [brackets]:

I just complained to a Macy's manager about having Fox News on their TVs.

[Congrats! You just earned your DUmmie Webelo badge for censorship.]

I was shopping on Saturday in a San Diego Macy's and noticed that outside the fitting rooms were small TV monitors and a seating area for -- I guess -- bored husbands waiting for their wives to finish shopping. Fox News was on. I changed the channel to a game show. Apparently, it was programmed so those were the only two choices. I went into a different department and there it was again. I changed it again.

[Can't risk the possibility of even one contrary view entering the public domain.]

I didn't bother a saleswoman about it; there were so few on the floor anyway, and they don't have any authority. This morning I called and spoke with a manager who both agreed with me that it was propaganda, and also said she would tell the store manager about my complaint and try to make sure that Fox News was taken off the channel selection.

[Hmmm... Thanx for the info. Now we know that it was the San Diego Macy's and that they have a leftwing manager who has agreed to censor Fox News from their TV sets. How much you want to bet that your dopey post will end up having the OPPOSITE effect that you intended. Any DUFU fans in the San Diego area want to check out the Macy's there and see if they actually acceded to the demand of a crazed censorious DUmmie?]

Every little bit helps, I hope.

[Your little bit by posting your censorious activity in the open will help us to counteract it. Thanx. And now on to the other Fox-obsessed DUmmies...]

You are fantastic for doing that.

[Yes, thanx for posting out in the open so we can check to see if the San Diego Macy's gives in to your censorship attempt.]

This is par for the course most places... Honestly almost any place I go with public tv's tuned to news channels, it's always fox news. Stores, the gym, lunch rooms at business places....

[DANGER! DANGER! Contrary views breaking out all over!]

When I was working at Cymer in San Diego, ...the TV's in the lunch room where always on the Fox News Channel. All the TV's were being fed off of a DirecTV box that was locked in a cabinet, but lucky for me the cabinet had glass doors. So, I purchased a cheap Universal Remote control, and programmed
it for the DirecTV box. Everyday my friends and I would sneak the remote into the cafeteria and find a seat relatively in front of the video cabinet, and secretly
change the channel to something other then FNC, usually CNN or MSNBC, sometimes ESPN.

[A member of the Thought Police proudly recounts one of his "accomplishments."]

Same at Wells Fargo ~ I'll complain next time

[Better start a list.]

That is how you do it, talk directly to the store manager, good job. I did this at the local Hospital, why they needed Fox news or any TV on in the waiting room was beyond me, and the next time I took the wife it wasn't on Fox news.

[Talk directly to the store manager. Post it in DUmmieland so it will be DUFUed. Then watch as the San Diego Macy's is forced to return to the Fox News channel once again by a public outraged by them agreeing to be censored...if they did.]

I did the same at a BOFA branch. They play CNN now. Gotta make the noise.

[Please post which BOFA branch so we can complain about them giving in to censorship demands.]

Tell them that you don't approve of pornography -- and Faux News IS political pornography. And thanks for taking action. I have in the past complained, and some businesses have changed the station, at least temporarily.

[Temporarily until the loon walked out of the room.]

Now you are talking....It is this kind of vigilance that pays off...If enough of us do it. When I was in the local hospital the same thing happened to me....they now have cnn on all the time which isn't a whole lot better but its a step.

[The Thought Police have their own Vigilance Committees.]

I complained about Fox News being on in our bank branch. Now they're tuned to CNN all day.

[You too have earned your DUmmie Webelo badge for censorship.]

my partner has done similar, at the Honda dealership. I'll encourage him to post about it...

[Be sure to include which Honda dealership branch. Hee! Hee!]

they play that crap at the Macys in the Los Angeles area also and i have seen it at that waiting room area just outside the dressing rooms.

[I'm guessing that a lot of crybabying DUmmies will turn up at the Macy's in L.A. today.]

My Macy's runs FOX outside it's dressing rooms, too. Do all Macy's exclusively show FOX?

[Uh-oh! I'm seeing a nationwide Thought Police assault on Macy's today.]

It will be interesting to see if FOX is still on their TV's when you go back. It is bad business to risk offending customers with propaganda. They should have known better.

[I want the San Diego Macy's to KEEP Fox News on their TV sets just to watch DUmmie heads explode.]

I just got back from a trip in Missouri and a couple different McDonalds had a big flat-screen on the wall with Fox News blaring. Anyone else ever seen it in a McDonalds?

[GASP! A couple of Mickey D's in Missouri slipped through the DUmmie Thought Police net!]

Good for you! There is enough viewers tuning in without the help of retailers. We do not need to have anymore people corrupted, influenced or brainwashed.

[Note to DUFU fans: DUmmie heads are SURE to explode if the San Diego Macy's continues to run Fox News. Will they fight this censorship attempt? It will be interesting to find out. Here is a LIST of the four San Diego Macy's along with their phone numbers]

Crazed.

Even the concept of "viewpoints" seems to elude these geniuses.

In any case, censorship and suppression are doomed to failure.

I wonder if it ever occurs to them that a bunch of childish conservatives could take the identical approach to CNN and MSNBC ... and start a nationwide channel-flipping-back-and-forth war.

How lame.

And DUmmies, here's a newsflash for you: FoxNews doesn't dominate because of its politics. It simply does a better job. The anchors are sharper, the set design is better, the interviews are better, the visual displays are better, even the picture quality is better. Not to mention the FoxNews blonde babes effect.

You can debate the quality of the journalism if you want; you can even try - hilariously - to convince yourself that FoxNews is biased but MSNBC is just plain good journalism.

But at the end of the day, just a glance at the TV shows that FoxNews at least does a superior job of packaging their product - superior by several orders of magnitude. There is no competition.

So ... instead of resorting to the fascist thought-police behavior liberals are supposed to oppose - why not work with CNN and MSNBC to create a better product?

Shorter version: if you want to win, quit being whiny losers - and compete in the marketplace.

Oh. Right. Liberals don't compete. They have government fix things.

Oh, and by the way, I manage an establishment with not one but two televisions. And I usually have FoxNews running. I even ask customers if they want it changed - and not one has ever taken me up on it.

But after reading this thread, it's permanent FoxNews, baby. I hope a DUmmie wanders in and asks me to change it.

And Troglaman will comment in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... about how paranoid the right is by even thinking that his beloved left wants to impose censorship.
Of course, to do so, he will have to completely ignore what his compatriots actually said in their comments.

So the DUmmie Obama Youth are now running around demanding that other people turn off FOX. Given their totalitarian mindset this was inevitable.

Not only won't DUmmies watch FOX they won't allow other people to watch it---It's MSNBC or nothing.

Bunch of fucking nazis, irony isn't a word in their vocabulary.

The Macy's rep should have agreed to pass the thug's complaint on, and then reminded him of the big upcoming sale on brown shirts at the store.

Went to two Macy's, both had Fox News on. Don't know which one he went to or if the management took the damn complaint seriously. Two biggest ones were part of the right wing conspiracy ;-)

Christ on a cracker.

Are you all actually worried about this? Some earth mother calling and demanding to speak to the store manager about their TV channel selections? Bet that's never happened before. And let's not forget about the scary remote controls. Am I getting the concept correctly here? (I'm actually praying one of you will tell me, troglaman, that I'm horribly wrong)

Fine. Go out there and stop these fascists. Do what you have to do. I'd suggest the first thing might be to make carrying a TV Remote Control an 'act of terrorism'. Carry on, brave soldiers.

BTW. Anyone wanting to change the channel from Fox News merely asks for Fox Sports. Works every time.

Trog, you can't really be this obtuse, can you?

It's not that we're "scared" of a tv zapper carried by a DUmmie. What is frightening(and makes deliciously funny reading), however, is the attitude and belief system behind it. And the sheer hypocrisy from these self-labeled "freedom-lovin'" idiots.

You can understand that, can't you, Trog? I mean, if you try really, really, REALLY hard to think in a logical manner. Go on, try it. You may like the feeling of being able to defend a point logically. It may even become a habit.

You're really going out on a limb there. Even if he could, which looks doubtful at best, he obviously doesn't want to.

troglaman: this is all meant to be a *humorous* look at these people, we don't post it because we're somehow afraid. It's only scary that some people can think that censorship of any opposing viewpoint is OK.

Also, yes this is the interwebbernets, but your points might make it down at least one more passage of my brain if you cleaned up your language a bit. :)

Obtuse is a PERFECT description. Perfect. Of course in the Shawshank Redemption, that word got Tim Robbins 30 days in the hole.

The fact remains that the left can NOT stand a different viewpoint on ANYTHING. It's their way or the highway. Period..

When confronted with inconvienient facts, the left will ALWAYS either change the subject OR more times than not, lash out into a personal attack.

There is no room for argument, no room for conversation, you MUST tow the line or else.

Sound familiar?

A perfect example is the whole Global Warming hoax.

Remember, it's 'done' science.. Over, no need to discuss any further.

What's funny about that statement is the fact that TRUE science is NEVER EVER 'done'.

The left constantly reminds me of a little kid holding his/her hands up to their ears and saying la la la la la la whenever they didn't want to hear something contrary to what their little minds had already decided as being 'fact'.

Personally I think FOX news does a horrible job of actual journalism.. Sorry but they ALL do. They're all more concerned with ratings then actually getting the story and/or digging in and really finding the truth. It doesn't sell. Most of these so called 'journalists' are there because they look good on TV and can string a couple of sentences together correctly.

I have to agree; I watch Fox, but only because it blows less than the alternatives. All too often they pair two speakers on opposite sides, one of whom actually knows what he or she is talking about and the other simply yells talking points, which has the unfortunate effect of equating the levels of thought (and I am not speaking exclusively of the Libs as the talking-point screamers). Every so often they do manage to get a thoughtful analyst from one side or the other to give candid discussions, though, which I have not seen on the other channels...especially the networks, whose goal in their interviews seems to be to inflate the status of their star anchors rather than to actually find out anything.

After eight years of DUmmie rants against Bushler's assaults on the Constitution, the DUmmies decide the First Amendment is obsolete.

First TV zappers, then demands that third parties turn off FOX, the DUmmies re-define freedom of speech.

But I'm not afraid of these twits nor is anyone else on this blog, the DUmmies are too stupid and feckless to censor anything.

But they support people who do have that power.

The Dummies always make me laugh with their exaggerated sense of self-importance and tall tales about how they bravely stood up to the evil right wing factions of our nation. In this case, how many people actually give a damn about what channel a department store TV is turned to? None. But in the Dummies minds, they've struck a gigantic blow for their cause by making Macys switch to CNN.

The American Legion Post I belong to often has the Moonbat Screamers National Broadcast Channel (MSNBC) on. While I often wonder why they have the Moobat Network on, it's not that big a deal, I often think they have it on just for the picture because the sound is usually muted because they're playing pitch. In fact, today I was thanked for turning the sound back down after turning it up for a while in order to see what was going on with the maniac who killed the guard at the Holocaust Museum.

My biggest question is - what moral or mental defect prevents the Troglaman clones and other Moonbats from being equally tolerant? Evidently to them, facist is just a word.

Thanks Smitty.

"It's not that we're "scared" of a tv zapper carried by a DUmmie....however, (it) is the attitude and belief system behind it." the shallow and bereft He or She who must not be named.

I agree. It's all about the attitude and belief systems behind it. Smitty has decided, because of 2 threads gathered by P Jinc from comments at DU, that "...the DUmmies decide the First Amendment is obsolete...First TV zappers, then demands that third parties turn off FOX."

Does it sound like smitty thinks this is funny, anon? Nope. It sounds to me as if he really believes us libs have decided the first amendment is obsolete and we (the mighty libs) have TV zappers. He heard it here first and made up his mind to believe. After two DU comment threads.

The preceding addresses your astute "the attitude and belief system behind it" theory. You're going to lose this argument.

"your points might make it down at least one more passage of my brain if you cleaned up your language a bit." anon (church-lady anon)

All I, troglaman, said was "Christ on a cracker". I'm fucking trying, OK? I didn't even say anything clever and oblique like 'rooster straw' and you're busting my chops. I wanted to use 'douche bag' 17 times. I counted. And yet I resisted my evil impulses (I had to self flagellate with thorn bushes for a few hours but what the hell).

Okay, Trog, tell me how YOU would interpret those two threads by DUmmies? What's your take on it?

Perfectly reasonable and defensible response by the DUmmies re Fox? Childishly fascist in their need to squash other viewpoints? Somewhere in between?

Here's your chance. I'm asking you to give me a cogent, well-reasoned point-of-view here on two DUmmie threads. Not insults. Not oblique references to the voices you hear in your head. Just a logical statement of some kind, please.

And before you start, let me reiterate (as have many others), this site is about DU. PJ comments on their comments and we comment on both. Simple to understand, yes?

I don't think anyone here believes DUmmies represent the entire Lib base. So, by coming to a site ABOUT DU and DUmmies, and then somehow expecting people on the site not to mention the galactically stupid antics of said DUmmies, is beyond idiotic.

You know, your whole "why do you people care about this shit" argument (so-called) whenever you're confronted. It's your standard defense (so-called) when you can't seem to find a logical position.

You shouldn't refer to yourself like that, it's unbecoming. Personally, I think you're a scumbag rather than a douche bag, but that's just my opinion based on a careful reading of your incoherent posts.

Dummies don't represent all liberals, just themselves; but it's a nasty, unappetizing, world view the proffer. Something you'd rather not address.

Wait...what was a DUmmie doing in a Macy's, anyway? Isn't that one of the evil capitalist corporations that are part of the indutrio-military complex? (And yes, I have heard a moonbat use that term. It was pretty special)

I mean, if you try really, really, REALLY hard to think in a logical manner. Go on, try it. You may like the feeling of being able to defend a point logically. It may even become a habit.

Nah, he can't. It might lead to a slippery slope right out of Moonbattia. And getting to live in your own private Disneyland is a lot more fun than living in reality.

That they're dumbshit commenters on a political blog. Which is what they are. How long does it take anybody to find dumbshit commenters on ANY blog?

That's not to say that P Jinc doesn't make an effort to pick stories and events that resonate. I, troglaman, think he does a good job at that.

But what you draw from his choice of commenters and the conclusions you make make my eyes bleed and my spleen hurt. It's got to stop! Please.
