"Bill Clinton Likes Palin's Political Instinct"

The Democrats have a problem. Actually, they have quite a few problems, but one of their biggest problems comes in the form of Bill Clinton. Bill's not happy these days. His wife Hillary was denied the party's nomination for the presidential election.

Now, most politicians, Democrat or Republican would dust themselves off and campaign hard for the chosen candidate. Bill and Hillary have been doing that, but at times it almost seems they are campaigning for the other side as you can see in this DUmmie
THREAD titled "Bill Clinton Likes Palin's Political Instinct."

This is a BIG problem. Bill Clinton is a former-two term Democrat president. If he wants to talk, they pretty much have to let him. If he wants to subtly undermine Obama's campaign, there's not a lot they can do about it.

Let's now watch the DUmmies go crazy over remarks of the former Rapist-in-Chief in Bolshevik red while the comments of your humble guest correspondent, Paul Heinzman, are in the [brackets].

Bill Clinton Likes Palin's Political Instinct

[Bill's just horny.]

WASHINGTON (AFP)--Former President Clinton Thursday cast an approving eye at Sarah Palin's political skills, but wouldn't be drawn on whether his wife Hillary could run for the White House in 2012.

[Sarah Palin v. Hillary Clinton in 2012. BRING IT!]

Clinton, acclaimed even by his enemies as one of the most consummate U.S. politicians in recent history, said he didn't agree with Republican vice presidential pick Palin on politics, but warned fellow Democrats not to underestimate her.

[You could learn a lot from a DUmmie.]

"She's an instinctively effective candidate and with a compelling story," Clinton said in an interview with CNBC.

[It almost sounds as if Bill has a hidden agenda. But we all know he would never sabotage his own party for his wife's political gain.]

"I think it was exciting to some that she was a woman," said Clinton.

[We all know about your brand of excitement.]

"I think she, I get why she's done so well. It's a mistake to underestimate her. She's got good intuitive skills. They're significant," he said.

[Yeah, please don't elaborate any further, Bill.]

Clinton said he thought McCain, a Vietnam War hero and veteran lawmaker, was a "great man" and that the Nov. 4 election would be close, but he predicted Democratic Sen. Barack Obama would emerge triumphant.

[A war hero and a veteran lawmaker IS a great man. What have 0bama and J0e Biden accomplished in their collectivist lifetimes?]

Come on in, Bill,...

[...is a statement that you should teach you daughters NEVER to say to Bill Clinton.]

He seems to be deliberately self sabotaging the dem party

[Why on earth would he want to do that?]

Why do I always cringe when they put a mic in front of this man

[Because you just never know what he'll do with it.]

My advice Barrack, DON'T USE BILL CLINTON, especially during these economic times

[That's good advice we should all take.]

I say let him campaign for mccain

[He is, and he's doing it magnificently.]

Bill nails this one

[He's nailed a lot of 'em.]

Bill's the best BS artist I've ever seen, and that's a high compliment.

[Clinton makes PT Barnum look like a piker.]

I know what he likes--and it's not her political instrincts

[Are you implying that the former president is a dirty old man?]

I think "instinctive" makes her sound kind of animalistic

[Bill's the real beast.]

You came so close to retrieving your legacy at the Convention, but now it appears that just wasn't close enough.

[Bill almost got lucky at the convention.]

Could some of the Bill Clinton supporters explain this. Add some context for me, show us how this is empty. Wheres the sting after the butter up?

[All buttered up with nothing to sting.]

Does anyone here realize that if he tore into her it would play into the repukes' hands?

[Do you realize what a loaded question that is?]

Is Bill now the informal campaign manager for Hillary 2012?

[Did you think he was ever anything else.]

Any f***ing MORON knows that Bill Clinton was the best President we've seen since JFK.

[Lots of morons believe that.]

I'm locking this
flamebait .. ugly ugly stuff

[FUnnie, FUnnie stuff.]

Why not.

In the mean time.

Regan = deficit

Bush 1 = deficit

Clinton = surplus

W = great big deficit

Cut taxes. Trickle down. Doesn't work. People get it. Some people anyway.

Troggy, troggy, troggy... Do you really believe a person is elected President and then *BAM*, there's either a deficit or a surplus?!?

Wrap your head around this:
Reagan/Bush-1 policies cause surplus in Clinton years.
For 8 years, Clinton gets a free ride. His policies/actions results are not instantaneous... deficit to GWB.

It's just how things work.

But at least your rapist is supporting our V.P. nom, so thanks for that.

In this case, I'm surprised this topic was locked. The DUmmies have a valid point in the Clinton address.

He really did say some nice "softening" things... almost as if he was 'blessing' the PUMAs who vote for her.

We can only guess at the reason for that, but I have repeatedly observed that, if Obama loses, Hillary is on deck in 2012. If he wins, she'll be 69 when she gets another shot.

Think she'll be lookin' 'Palin-Hot' then?

In the meantime, tman:

Regan (it's Reagan, dodo) - tman = stupid

Bush 1 - tman = stupid

Clinton - tman = stupid, but happy

W - tman = stupid

People get it. Some, anyway.

"Cut taxes. Trickle down. Doesn't work. People get it. Some people anyway."

Actually, it does work.

Carter presided over one of the worst recessions since the Great Depression, all because he and his fellow democrats raised taxes to the point where it started to destroy our economy.

Reagan presided over one of the largest economical recoveries in history. He did this by cutting taxes, especially corporate and capital gains taxes.

Bush I raised income taxes somewhat, but not enough to affect the economy.

Clinton was kept in check until the end of his term, and it was his massive tax increases (especially the capital gains tax) that created that ONE (one year, remember) surplus budget, yet caused the recession that Bush II pulled us out in 2002 with a tax decrease.

In 2006, when the democrats regained control of congress, the capital gains tax "cut," along with other tax cuts, were allowed to expire (this was a tax increase in all but name) and this lead directly to the faltering economic situation today.

If you want to blame someone, blame the democrats in Congress as it is their policies that brought us to where we are today. If it were up to me, I'd get rid of everyone in Congress and start out fresh, but we all know that isn't going to happen.

Tman = economic and historic illiterate.

Tman, the so-called "Reagan deficit" was not a Reagan deficit. Go back to your Civics class, troggy. Who writes the tax bills and the appropriations bills? That's right, troggy, it is the House of Representatives who write those bills. Now, troggy, which political party had control of both the House and the Senate during Reagan's terms of office? Very good, troggy! Yes, it was the Democrats!
Before you expound on economics or recent American history, trog, you really need to do some research so you know what the hell you are talking about.

Touche Susie.

Ray, you stinking pile of rotting cabbage, are a monumental troglamatic dumbass. The current financial bailout is estimated to cost (who?) the taxpayer a trillion dollars. The war in Iraq is estimated to cost (who?) the taxpayer a trillion dollars.

So. Why is this so friggin hard for you dumbshits to figure out? You can talk all you want about reducing taxes but when it comes down to it, ANYONE who believes you fuckers can actually pull it off should be subject to extreme rendition.

But let's get to the heart of the matter. What are any of you sacrificing for your country right now? Let's hear it. What are you sacrificing. Let me ask another way, what are you willing to sacrifice since you've yoked the country to a wagon of debt not yet realized.

It has already become impossible to deny that we owe the rest of the world the biggest buttload of money ever conceived. Your 'they will raise your taxes' mantra is laughable in a slightly hysterical sort or way. What else could it be?

What it really boils down to is that you selfish motherfuckers aren't willing to pay a thing for your country. Not a thing. In fact, while you're all screaming about Obama raising your taxes, your boys are piling up a 2 trillion dollar debt like it's Christmas in July. And yet you STILL believe you don't owe a thing.

You're not patriots. You're self involved turnips.

troglaman, government cannot post a surplus or a loss. Government is an absolute. The best thing you can do with it is reduce it. Government has never created wealth. It exists to enforce laws, borders and to print money at a rate appropriate to the level that free, hardworking individuals create wealth.

You might define it that way and that's fine. I'm pretty sure I get your position. I respect it.

The operative contruct in your statement is "a wasting of value". I would switch it to "an offering of value".

I suppose you could break it down even further into sacrifices that are wasteful of value and those that offer value. Because then it becomes a choice. Still with me?

"... I suppose you could break it down even further into sacrifices that are wasteful of value and those that offer value. ..." t-man

No, sacrifice always means the one giving loses or wastes something of value.

Value is that which you seek to gain or preserve. Throwing or giving something away means it is no longer of value to you.

When one offers to TRADE value for other things of value, then there is no sacrifice. The only determinate of the justice of the trade is whether the traders both have GAINED value by means of the trade.

The only sacrifice that is moral is that which one offers to improve, sustain, enhance, or save the life of another whom the giver cannot bear to live without. i.e., someone they love. In that case it is not sacrifice but an act of sustaining, improving or enhancing value to the giver.

Sacrifice to strangers or those who mean nothing to your life is wastage. Altruists argue there is a spiritual (i.e., supernatural) value that is gained through such "selfless" sacrifice. Indeed, they condemn those who "sacrifice" only for their loved ones.

No. Sacrifice can sometimes mean giving something up for the greater good. For example, there was extreme gas rationing during WW2. People stepped up.

Could you, mr galt, give me one example of your ideological comrades making a sacrifice for the greater good? Because, most of you seem highly reluctant to pay for the decisions you've already made. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Pussies.

No, because the concept of "greater good" is alien to people like me who believe in rational self-interest. I'm hardly disillusioned: there is no life for me but the one I'm living now. I am not interested in sacrificing its value to some supernatural power or some self-destructive altruistic demand.

I would however, be willing to risk death to save the life of someone I love. Is that a "greater good" or simply self-interest?

Look for the mail about a bistro. "Galt" is in the subject line as you requested.

You mean like the mortgage crisis the Democrats created with FRE and FMC? Which Bush and McCain both tried to reform years ago but were blocked again by Democrats?

Didn't answer my question, mandible, you jackass.

Can you give me one example of your ideological comrades making a sacrifice for the greater good?

Let's hear it, you stupid, stupid piece of shit. The answer is no. The fact that Iraq will cost us a trillion and the bailout another trillion, and we get a deficit of 10 trillion after W leaves office is indisputable.

There is nothing any one of you geniuses can say that excuses this. To my mind, it's unforgivable. Bush/Cheney should be tried for war crimes. They should be thrown in prison. Gitmo would be nice. Extreme rendition would be nice. Water boarding would be nice. Thrown in a wet, stinking cell without a call to an attorney would be nice. Being sent to Syria without hope of ever being released would be nice.

This shit can happen to you. So why not the the bullshit artists that made it possible? Think about the possibilities with a liberal president. A liberal Congress. A liberal Senate. A liberal Supreme Court. Think about it.

Liberal though I am, I wouldn't mind any and all of you being subject to the nation you've made. You deserve it.

That really is frightening to you isn't it? That some people actually believe the evidence of their own cognition and reason which reveals that their lives are entirely their own responsibility.

A selfless person no longer (or never) knows the meaning of their life. They instead become an empty, formless shell, taking whatever form and direction the wishes and whims of those around them demand.

When they meet someone who depends entirely on their own mind to face Reality it shows them the abyss of their own emptiness. It frightens them to see the bankruptcy of the "social consensus" that Reality can never be understood by any single person and that Reality is whatever the biggest gang's ever-changing and subjective groupthink defines it to be.

When the Atlases do shrug (as you can see now, for example in medical doctors refusing to practice the skills they were trained for because of the dangers that looter lawyers and moocher plaintiffs will rob them of their life savings) you and your tribe will die, troggie. There will be no more heroes to feed, clothe and shelter you.

No. The history and evolution of mankind has everything to do with the tribe (except for the current population of Miami). There is no way, mr. galt, that mankind could have survived as individuals. Community and social organization are rudimentary even to a wolf pack or a pod of whales, or Flock of Seagulls. No one member of the Flock of Seagulls could have made their mark alone.

Need I remind you..."The need of the many outweigh the need of the one." I think Dick Cheney said that. Pointy ears and all.

Only true in the sense of reproduction and evolution of the species. Men are often able to survive in wilderness alone. They may not thrive or create civilization, but they can survive.

Civilization could not have been built without rational self-interest, t-man. Check your premise.

Cooperation and collaboration are the activities of rational, selfish actors creating mutual benefit by trading their skills and productivity. Dependence and sacrifice are the actions of parasites and self-destructive, nihilistic actors respectively.

As to the Cheney quote, he's just another altruist. Need has nothing to do with anything but altruism. Need does not indicate the method or purpose of fulfilling the need.

My stomach tells me I'm needing food: will food suddenly appear just because of my need? Or will I have to develop a plan to hunt or gather food using my reason, observation of nature, and cognition of the means to fulfill my need?

Fortunately, I've produced enough wealth in my occupation to be able to trade some of that wealth for food. Why should the government punish me for producing more than I consume while rewarding those who consume more than they produce?

Which philosophy produces wealth: Capitalism or collectivism? Which philosophy rewards the best use of Man's mind, and which punishes the best use of Man's mind?

10:36 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

"Civilization could not have been built without rational self-interest, t-man. Check your premise." mr galt

I have. My self-interest can only be achieved with the cooperation of others.

There is no doubt any of us would fight and scrape for our very own survival. Falling in quicksand means trying to get out.

But we could not have survived without each other, mr galt. Not as a species. It's as simple as that.

"I have no basement, tman, I live in the deep South, near a river." susie

Then why the fuck do you keep bringing up the stinkin basement?

That is, however, different from the "breast feeding" part of your narrative. I'm OK with that part.
